Hi…this is my first time posting here. I’ve recently been taking 6-9 30mg roxicets a day for about 8-9 months. My habit started off slowly like all do,I started taking a half a day and slowly increased as time went on due to my tolerance build up.12 days ago i stopped and went to suboxone and i,ve been taking 8mgs a day for the past 12 days…4mgs in the morning and 4mgs at night. I’m ready to quit everything because I’ve been on subs before and I know how bad the withdrawal is from being on them long term.My question is how bad should my w/d be from only 12 days of usage…last time i was on subs for little over a year for a bad oxy habit and the w/d were an absolute nightmare:insomnia for a week extreme anxiety and crazy restless leg syndrome not to mention the unbearable constant headaches. I’m really scared and totally disappointed in myself…I should have never put myself in this situation again after being almost 2 years clean. I’m luckily taking my vacation from work this thurs 4th- weds 10th, will this be enough time to recuperate and how bad w/d should i expect if i quit cold turkey 2nite? 3 Replies
In the last 2 days I have taken total, 2mgs maybe less of suboxone. How long will it take for the suboxone to be out of my system. I have not been on suboxone prior to those 2 days. 1 Reply

I think I’m one of the very few that is hypersensitive to the other ingriendent in suboxone (not the opiate)naloxine or however you spell it. Anyway I’ve had two days of hell I took 2 8mg hour later took two more felt like all the nerves in my body were fired up got leg jumps with maybe 1 hour sleep need advice I’m doing it w/o dr. help my sister is trying to help me I can’t afford them 4 Replies
hi… does anyone else out there get relief from chronic depression by taking the suboxone? i take it illegally whenever i run out of percs,and it always makes me feel better,like i can do more things, and i have more energy…next week, i go to a suboxone doctor to get on this legally, but should i tell him that i take them illegally and that they help with my depression? i am not sure if i should tell him this..i would love to hear from soneone…thanks 2 Replies
For all of you that are taking and abusing opiates.. Simply put cut the sh*t and get on a suboxone program.. It works but you have to want to quit taking drugs.. Yes suboxone is addictive more physically than mentally but this pales compared to your current 12-25 pills per day habit. I have been on suboxone for 2 years and I tried to ween off of them but it’s very difficult.. Stop making excuses… 1 Reply
I have been on Suboxone maitainence for about 7 months now. It is doing a really good job at keeping me off of other opiates and any other kind of mood altering substance including alcohol. My question is this…I have been reading the threads and looking at how much people are being prescribed and they seem to be on much lower doses. I am taking two 8mg tabs BID (twice daily), which totals 36mg of Suboxone per day. Is this considered too much? Will I have a harder time coming off when I decide to give it a try? I was sober off of everything for 18 years and lived a 12step program to the best of my ability. My husband of 20 years (and also my heroin buddy) died of cancer with 18 years of sobriety last year and I absolutely lost it! I went back to the opiates harder and heavier than ever and wound up having to kick again and that’s when they put me on Suboxone but I don’t want to make it harder for myself in the end. hi….i am a severe pill popper…generally 20-25 percocet a day…i usually buy suboxone from a friend for when my percs run out, but she no longer has them… suboxone makes me feel better actually than the percs…i need to go on suboxone every day and stop playing around with the percs…but i have no health insurance …i live in mass and my husband was layed off 4 months ago…does anybody know of any options ? i would really appreciate it Post a Reply
