I have been taking 16mg of suboxone a day for a few months. With no insurance it was over $400 a month. So i found the Patient Assistance Program (called 877-SUBOXON) I had an appointment today but was called first and said I had been “dismissed” and removed from their offices’ system completely! And it was the day to get my refill, so in a day or two i’ll be withdrawing! Apparently someone used an altered copy of my prescription, changed it to 120 xanax and had my information on it. Needless to say i’m pissed but i’m still going to go talk to the doctor and convince him it wasn’t me. BUT THIS IS MY QUESTION: If i have to find a new doctor will my Assistance Program transfer with me? I know doctors can only have a certain amount of patients on the program at a time but this Dr didn’t even know about it until I brought him the paper work. Anyway PLEASE HELP ME IF YOU KNOW OR HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS. thanks
In response to the first answer, that’s what the doctor had me on as my maintenance dose i started off around 24-32. Maybe you don’t realize how much heroin I was doing before but suboxone’s saved my life and rerally helped stabilized it with counseling for now. And these aren’t the kind of answers I’m looking for but thanks anyway.

i am on suboxine treatment to help me get off my opiatiate addition. i also have been taking clonazapane my doc said it was ok to take them together. i only take 1mg tab of clonazapane at night. is this ok? 3 Replies
My boyfriend has battled with heroin addiction for at least 2 years now. He was prescribed to before, but couldn’t afford the maintenance program and ended up banging heroin again. He went back to his doctor to get a script for suboxone again last week, and the doctor wouldn’t prescribe it to him. I found another dr who can prescribe suboxone nearby, and want to make sure he gets a script because he will die if he doesn’t quit using. Does anyone know any reasons why a dr wouldn’t prescribe suboxone? Thanks. 10 Replies
Hi, I have been on suboxines for 2 in half weeks now. I take two 8mg/2mg a day. I need more than two a day. I have been addicted to oxy’s for along time now. I’ve lost my house, my job, & my car. I have a wonderful husband, and two great children, which I’m about to lose them. Im afraid Im going to go back on the pills. I still think about them. Two weeks ago, I tried to talk to the doctor about it, He just told me to take a whole one in the morning, half around 2, & another half at night, This is not helping, How could I ask for more. I know Suboxone does not show up in a standard test. But the job I am applying for may do an extended test. I have a perscription from my Doc and I am on 16mg a day which by the way is wonderful. But I was wondering if anyone knows how long til my urines clean. 6 Replies
I am being taken off the pain clinic for severe headaches and back pain because a test showed up suboxen and I have never taken that I need to desprately find out and see if it is anything I have taken or was prescribed as I also take physk meds and tonic water for leg cramps is the only thing new that I have taken, and a addarol please help 2 Replies

Today is day three on 8mg a day of Suboxone. I was prescribed Sub while detoxing from Vicodin. At first I would take the 8mg in the morning. I was finding myself crashing about an hour and a half later. I had no option but to lay down and sleep. While at detox I spoke with the staff dr. and he agreed to split it.. do 4 in the morning and 4 at night. Yesterday was my first day doing that. Nothing changed in fact It may have gotten worse. Today I took 1/4 instead. MY GOD.. I have never felt so tired. I basically slept the entire day away and now after sleeping all of that.. I am falling asleep sitting up. I’m dizzy, and I feel like I can not control sleeping. I feel weak and my skin is very pail. I have had a low grade fever this whole time and I can barely type or write my name. I literally feel like death… so much worse than I did when detoxing without anything. Will this go away? Will this get better? am I doing this to myself by lowering the dosage? My spouse thinks I should go to the Er. because I look and feel so horrible. Please Help!
