I’m down to a 1/4 of a pill, but don’t function well enough to survive with any less than that.
Of course, it’s obvious to take less and less….but that last little quarter is proving impossible. Tips on that please.
It’s been about 6 months. Got it in rehab to get off other stuff. But the long term effect can kill your ability to produce serotonin or oxycotin, so I want to get off it before my brain can’t produce it at all.
I took my last dose of suboxone (16 mg) sunday at 1 P.M. Its now 5:40 on Tuesday. It been almost 53 hours since I last took my subs. I ask because I took 9 hydrocodone pills at 10 A.M this morning and felt minimal effects. Im basically wondering if 7 hours would make much of a difference.
Its been 26 hours since I took 1 milg suboxone.I am in pain and prescribed vic but I heard it takes 36 hours for sub to be out of system or it wont work? do u think 26 hours is long enough???
i’m clean at the moment ,but i’m afraid of a relaps if i try and get a cold turkey.i mean methadone is working fine but my doctor suddenly wants me to swap on suboxone
Im currently addicted to opiates and have been for 4 years but my situation is a bit different from most addicts. In light of keeping my addiction minimal, I only take them at night. maybe once or twice a year do i take them during the day. what i usually do is wait till 7-8PM and take 2 and 1/2 norco or perk 10s, or snort a 20mg oxy. i NEVER go over that amount at one time but sometimes i will take an extra 5mg few hours later to keep it alive. then about 6,7 hours later i will eat something to kill the buzz and go to bed. the dying buzz helps me sleep. then the next day im fine for most the day, usually dont get the urges untill it gets close to 7,8PM again, some days are better then other and i want to take them then but i stay strong and hold it off untill night, i dont know what it is about night time but its like im some kind of opiate vampire.could be because i get most my things done then. so now you know my routine, i have been researching this suboxone and seems like something i want to do so i can get off this love/hate relationship with pills. the only thing i am concerned about is while researching (and i may have read this wrong) it said that after 1 dose some people will not need another untill 2,3 days later. what i want to know is, is this something i can take, get me through the night and then when i eat to go to bed the buzz will die ? i dont want to take something at 7PM and still feel it 8AM the next morning. its been awhile but sometimes i would get me a 20mg methadone and let it kick my ass all night because them damn things would last alot longer then a hydro or oxy but with any other pill i would have to eat to kill the buzz or it would make me want to stay up all night. if this suboxone works like they say it does then its something i want to do, im not really concerned about mixing it with anything else, as much as i love letting an oxy burn through my nose or breaking up a hydro or perk in my mouth, i wouldnt even worry about them if i had a steady supply of suboxone to get me through everything.
Hello All. I feel awful stupid doing this but here goes…. I have been a member of YA since spring or so. During this time I wrote several answers to people who were caught in the throws of addiction. The irony is that during this time i was a raging norco addict. Well today it all came to head. I burned through my meds waaaaaay too fast and I went to the doctor’s office to get more. This would be two weeks before I was due. Knowing this I decided to pull some BS and steal part of my chart with my last script so I could get more. But I was caught. I know I deserved to go to jail or at the least be kicked from my doctor’s office. But instead they sat down with me and talked about my addiction and how it can make good people do really bad things. Just to clarify I really think of myself as a pretty good person, im the father of two and have a wife of 21 years. I started taking painkillers for a herniated disk. But as summer went on I started taking more and taking them when I really didnt need pain relief. To give you an idea of the scale I would take 5 10/325 norco’s at a time and sometimes I would take as many as 7 10/325! In hindsight I’m very glad this happened as norco was making me a not very good person and made me change and turn into someone I didn’t like. Now I’m sure your all saying “where is the question”… I can’t say I started this post for an answer, I think I started it as a release. I know what I need to do, I now know how Im going to do it. I guess I would like to know if anyone else out there has faced what i’m facing. This is a strange road for me as I have always been the “Excessive” type and have enjoyed smoking pot for almost 30 years. I just never got hooked like this did to me. I appreciate everyones input and would love to find some support ideas. I live in Michigan near Detroit. Thanks!
Shit, that would explain why it made me soooo damn sick! Well crap. I will start weening myself of suboxone today. I will go strait to 1/2 tab for my next dose and do the 3 day ramp from there. OMG thanks soooo much for letting me know this. I don’t want to end up worse than I was before.

i shot 5 bags at 5pm earlier this evening. will i be able to take suboxone when i wake up tomorrow morning? it will be sometime after 8am (thats at least 15 hours). i feel like crap when i wake up, i dont know how bad withdrawals have to be before you can take suboxone.
I have been on it for alittle over a year and my treatment Dr has totally cut me right off.It’s been like 12 days and i am still going through withdrawls.
i have been on suboxone for about 2 and a half weeks now.
at first i was taking 8 mg, for about 2 weeks and just recently took 6 for two days and yesterday and today ive taken 4, i plan to take 2-3 mg tomorrow and the next day and then 1 then .5,
any suggestions, or tips?
and my other question is, do you withdrawal from it if you wean off?
