Ok first off, Id like to add that unless your offering helpful advice, DONT ANSWER! I will report anyone who calls me drug seeking. This is called Yahoo answers not a bunch of people who are on their high horse, busy bodies. I have a chronic pain condition. I have Fibromyalgia and RA & also chronic fatique. I was in a car accident 10 yrs ago, that i believe initiated the Fibro. I also fell 6 ft onto concrete 3 wks ago & was injured quite bad. I currently take tramadol, 2 vicoden 5 mgs, paxil & a thyroid med. I try to take hot baths, & tried Capsasin Hp, i liked it but when i went to sleep & woke up my legs felt like they were on fire. So i use Icy Hot, Aspercreme, massage therapy & am going to do water therapy. I went to a chiropractor who said i needed extensive work, I dont have insurance, so this is not an option. My dad was cut off his vicodin after 5 yrs, when his doc moved. Even though they said his back is so bad they were surprised he wasnt in a wheelchair. I am thinkin of trying Neurontin. But anyway the Q is are u allowed to get on Suboxone if you are not a hard core narcotic user. I am not addicted, & dont get withdrawals. I have used more than 10 mg of norco. How do you get started on Suboxone treatment? A DOC? Do people take Sub for chronic pain?? & finally does anyone know a pain clinic in the Cleveland area who takes no insurance patients??? thank you! And again no stupid comments, if you have never lived in my shoes, you have no idea what my everyday life is like. NO PREACHING
I used to have a vicodin problem. I’ve been taking Suboxone now for about 8 months (8mg per day) and it has helped a great deal, but as recently as 2 months ago I can remember feeling great. Not high, but happy, motivated, in charge of my life. Now with the same dose I’m going back to what I used to feel (and the whole reason I started taking vicodins); I’m depressed, and I have no motivation to do anything.
I can’t figure out what’s wrong, have I just built up a tolerance to the suboxone and the dose isn’t helping as much?
I’m trying many anti-depressants with my doctor as well, but as of yet, they aren’t helpful. What do I do?
Thanks in advance
A family member went on siboxum for his pill addition to several pills. He is now trying to get off siboxum. But he says he has not slept for 5 days. We obviouslty do not want to give him sleeping pills. any healthy suggestions
I am about to start Suboxone for the second time. The first time I didn’t follow the rules and began taking it before I was in withdrawals. It was awful. I want to do it right this time. They say wait until you are at least in mild withdrawals. That is different for everyone. I am terrified of taking it too early. I am snorting heroin daily. I have weened myself off to just three lines per day. The dope I get isn’t good either. My question is do I need to wait until I am a complete mess? Can I start taking it when I just start feeling anxious and restless? Should I be puking. Anyone with advice or personal experience please respond. I have to get it right this time. I have complete faith in this drug. Thanks! 19 Replies

I have to take a blood drug screen and the only thing I have in my system is suboxone. I DO have a prescription for it but I am worried because if it shows up I don’t want my employer to think that I am a druggie or something. I have been on suboxone for about 5 months now and have stayed away from everything else. The test is a chain of custody drug screen and on the paper my employer gave me it lists cocaine, marijuana, opiates, amphetamines, phencyclidine, benzodiazepine, barbiturate, METHADONE, methamphetamine, tricyclic antidepressants, ecstasy, and propoxyphene to check off as a negative or positive. Since it tests for methadone, would the suboxone show positive? I am wondering if I should tell the test administer before I take the drug screen about the suboxone and show proof of my prescription or if I should not say anything and just wait to see if it comes back positive? Like I said I don’t want to say anything unless I have to because I don’t want my employer to think I am a druggie. If I do tell them ahead of time and show proof of my prescription and ask them not to tell would they still write it down anyway or would they be required to tell my employer??
is there any way to not withdrawal and come off of this medication other than taking suboxone or any other medicines like that? Like, anything natural any home remedies that will help with pain? I didn’t realize how bad these pills were until now.
