As Promised– A person who hates psychiatrists and suboxone.

This is the letter I referred to yesterday check this out. Intereing perpective if you live on Mars anyway. My answers are interspersed with her questions. Are you a psychiatrist? yes, I am a Board Certified Psychiatrist. I find this website disgusting…the picture of a person with a needle about to shoot up I have thought [...]

Barbiturates, side effects, getting clean…

A few quick answers to questions before I take on the heckler on the sidelines. First, a question about Fiorinal: Is suboxone ever used for fioricet (without codeine) abuse? I take too much butalbital with acetaminophen. It does not contain codeine. I’ve tried to cut down, but am having a hard time. Thanks, d. Response: I’ m sorry but [...]

Open Question: Any one taking Suboxone?

Wikipedia has the best description of suboxone I have ever read. It’s true what they say. You have to read it a few times to figure it out. I had to know for my self. My original question was answered incorrectly.

Open Question: Suboxone causing edema?

This is the second time I’ve gone on Suboxone, and now it is the second time I have developed really bad edema from it in my legs–my toes hurt to move. When it happened last time neither my psychiatrist nor my primary care physican knew what the deal was, but my new psych said she had another patient with the same thing and when I googled it I see that it does occur, but I can’t figure out why. This last time, I don’t think it happened until I missed a day, I don’t remember the circumstances of the last time but it might have been when I was going off it as well. That time my PCP prescribed water pills which I tok for about a month and helped it. I haven’t had it happened again until now. How common is this and why does it happen? Can it be helped?
I guess I should have added: No Crazies Please.
