question….ive been on methadone for over five years, been in clinic, i was on oxys for 4 yrs, before that i was taking lortabs for 5 yrs, so ive been an addict for about 13 yrs or so, anyways, the clinic here has raised price to almost 100 dollars a week, cant afford it, so im tapering down 12mgs for 5 wks, thats all i can afford, then im goin to rehab to switch suboxone, then get it from doc. insurance 40bucks a month, but does suboxone have the same pain killing qualities as methadone does? because i know that methadone is covering up the pain that i have or that i dont even know i have,so is suboxone gonna be a better thing to get on to? i really dont have a choice now but i just want to know what im about to go through…thanks
I’m wondering if subutex allows the use of other painkillers or are the receptors blocked the way suboxone blocks the receptors and if so what are main differences between the two drugs..
ok i took just one Suboxone N8 now how long do i gotta wait until i can take my vicodin and feel the effects?
I’ve stopped taking suboxone, but am having yawns, runny eyes, etc. Someone told me to try fentanyl patch. Will it help?
I think what I’m experiencing are W/Ds not PAWS.
Just wondering if subutex blocks the use of other opiates to your sensors the way suboxone does or can it be used in conjunction with other painkillers, pharmaceutical or “other”. Does it push other opioids out of your system or is that the main difference between subutex and suboxone?
A friend of mine just got out of rehab, and I have seen him nodding since then He switched from methadone to suboxone in treatment. My question is, if suboxone is combined with benzos, like ativan or xanax, does it have the same effects of combining methadone with benzos (does it get you “high”)? Where can I find more information (I tried googling this and came up with nothing)? 10 points to the best real answer
I was told that subutes works on the same levels that suboxone does and that it is an opiate based med that works like suboxone but does not block receptors, is this true and what ways can subutex be taken? orally, sublingually, intraveneously and or sniffed? is there any truth to this?
If a patient comes in to the ER while suffering withdrawal symptoms after trying to go cold turkey…..will they be able to help them? What if the patient has stopped taking the medication SUBOXONE…..how can the ER help them??
Listen, I did heroin on a friday afternoon around 1:00 PM. I had a drug test for probation at 4:00 PM on that following Tuesday. Between that time period I took suboxone. Now for some reason my test came up positive for opiates. I thought opiates aren’t in your system any longer than 72 hours…??? Did the suboxone have anything to do with it? How did it come up positive?
